Below are the 8/21 weather forecasts for various locations along the eastern fifth (or so) of the eclipse path (the path east of Nashville, TN), about 50-60 miles apart. The most recent forecasts will be listed first and my plan is to update them at least once daily, more often if things start looking up. Starting Thurs., 8/17 I'm focusing on the 2-3 PM window. I highlighted the cloud cover estimates since that's essentially all we need now. (And I added Greesnboro data at the bottom after Charleston. It's not in the totality path of course but it is where most of you 'll be, so, yeah.)

THOUGHTS ON FRIDAY'S (8/18) FORECAST:
- Still looks better to the west as it has since the 13th.
- Tellico Plains was in the low teens for cloud cover yesterday, which seemed too good to be true and, as with almost all such things, was indeed. Today it has "returned to the fold" if you will, dependably regressing to the mean.
- For what it's worth the preciptation forecasts are still falling, but I can't see them getting too much lower than 15-20ish. Not terribly important; Cloud cover is more relevant here.
- Scroll down for older forecasts if you're curious.
- Farther below the older blue section are the links to the location specific Intellicast reports I get this data from.

(Eclipse will occur along this section of the totality path between 2:30-2:50 PM EDT, with western locations seeing it earlier since the shadow moves west to east.)
